Yes, 2016 sees Atjazz in his 20th year, with over 400 remixes and the universe only knows how many songs & collaborations there seems to be no stopping this musical machine. 2016 started with a bang as he continues to produce quality music & Dj sets the world over. Originally hailing from the North East of England, Martin hung up his skateboard to re-locate to the center of the country where for many years he worked as in-house music & sound producer and also audio director for Core Design Ltd. who we all know went on to create one of video game’s most loved characters “Lara Croft” from the very popular Tomb Raider series of games. While he was working his 9-5 and all of this was happening day-to-day, Martin also worked nights from 7pm – 3am setting up his record label and studio where he was to stretch out into the world of Atjazz. 1996 saw him release his very first single under his new found moniker “Atjazz” and his first release was “The Story EP”. He was warmly welcomed into the world of Trip-hop, Broken Beat, House & all genres surrounding by many established records labels. Martin has since gone on to work with some of the music industries greatest assets, from remixing for the likes of Henri Mancini, Osunlade, Omar, Quantic & St Germain to spinning discs in the booth with DJ heroes Louie Vega, Rich Medina, Shuya Okino, Gilles Peterson, Robert Owens and many more. Martin’s music has taken him worldwide and he has had in his time the wonderful opportunity to grace many capitol cites with his distinctive sound. Atjazz is now on tour and throughout 2016 you can catch him playing in a city near you. Join the fun and celebrate 20YA.
